The Big Bad Wolf

I was so pleased when the small cities asked me to do a tshirt design for them. They are one of my all time favorite Minneapolis bands - and Jimmy, one of the bandmembers, has been known to sport one of my Rogue Valley shirts.

What's my favorite thing about living in a small city? The view! And as I get ready to make my move across the big pond, I look forward to the clear night skies and the rolling plains of the english side.

Rogue Valley's Crater Lake

No words can explain the importance of my experiences with Rogue Valley. The band itself, composed of some of the most important, influential people in my life. The album... speechless... I rarely am speechless. I think of my experiences working on the CD Release show for Crater Lake, and my eyes start to glisten. The show itself was vibrant, the sound crashing over the audience like a tide turned by the full moon. The illuminant stage taking me visually on a journey to meet my ears, as if for the first time. Designing for this show was one of the most self-critical periods of my career, pushing me to not only deliver a design, but to deliver on a vision.

I highly encourage my followers to seek out the album Crater Lake, by Rogue Valley. If you are near the Minneapolis area, or willing to travel, be sure to catch the next show in late summer (details to follow). Keep updated on happenings here, and at www.lostinroguevalley.com On the site you can sample the songs, read reviews, and most importantly, buy merch!

Still Don't Know.

It's time I start updating my blog more frequently. Looking forward to attempting to get these photos in a much needed exhibit, but times are slow and so are funds. There are many more to come, but here's what I have so far.

Background: The exhibit to be featured hopefully soon .. "Still Don't Know." As I look back on my years in college, and why my girl friends became so important to me.. I realized that it was due to the fact that I didn't know of a support system until I found them. I am proud to say that I know some of the most strong, independent, talented women in the mid-west... all who needed someone to lean on, just like I did, after being crushed by the weight of another. I asked some of these women to draw a picture of a man who had the most influence on destroying their independence, and then tare it up in a sort of liberating exercise. The benefits, as the girls can contest, were astounding. They reported an increased ability to face the situation through drawing the face of those that deceived them, while a feeling of triumph when taring up the photographs. We shall all over come, and while wounds may leave scars, our hearts can mend.

Awhile back (March 8, 2008) I did an individual exhibit at a business in La Crosse, WI known as Bluff Land Bloom and Brew. The series of photographs (and a bit o' graphics) showcased images taken to help me cope with some pretty serious health conditions. The exhibit 'Emerge' really helped me to understand why my body was hurting itself, among other things. Here's a sample of the less 'graphic' images.
